Overview

The Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship is established by Jiangsu Provincial Government. It aims to advance international‑student higher education within Jiangsu, raise the global visibility of Jiangsu’s education resources, build up the “Study in Jiangsu” brand, and turn Jiangsu into a top‑choice study destination for overseas learners. Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) is among the participating higher‑education institutions under this scholarship scheme. Entrusted by Jiangsu Provincial Government, NAU recruits outstanding international students and scholars for full‑time degree studies.

Funding Benefits

Full Scholarship

1. Full tuition exemption
2. Subsidy for core course textbooks
3. Housing support: free on‑campus dormitory accommodation, or an annual housing stipend of CNY 10,000
4. Monthly living allowance: CNY 1,500 per month
5. Comprehensive medical insurance coverage

Partial Scholarship

Undergraduate and postgraduate applicants can receive an annual grant of CNY 30,000. Scholarship validity period: one academic year.

Eligible Majors

This scholarship covers all postgraduate majors at NAU, excluding programs administered by the College of Foreign Languages.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicants must hold non‑Chinese citizenship and be physically healthy.
2. Academic qualifications and age restrictions:
   • Bachelor’s applicants: hold a high‑school graduation certificate and be under 30 years old
   • Master’s applicants: hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old
   • Doctoral applicants: hold a master’s degree and be under 40 years old
3. Candidates are expected to possess strong academic performance.
4. Demonstrated research capacity is required for applicants.

Language Proficiency Requirements

Chinese‑Taught Programs

Applicants need to achieve HSK Level 5 or higher.

English‑Taught Programs

Applicants need to satisfy one of the following conditions:

• Citizenship of an English‑speaking country; OR
• At least one year of discipline‑related academic experience in English‑speaking nations; OR
• Valid test scores: IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, or TOEFL score of 70 or above.
