Applicants shall be non‑Chinese citizens holding valid ordinary foreign passports with sound physical and mental health. Applicants who were formerly Chinese citizens and obtained foreign nationality through immigration, or those born with foreign nationality with one or both Chinese parents, shall comply with specific requirements set by the Ministry of Education of China. For instance, they shall have accumulated no less than 2‑year physical residence abroad after acquiring foreign nationality (a calendar year counts if actual residence reaches 9 months within that year).
学历与年龄要求｜Academic and Age Requirements
申请攻读学士学位者，应具有高中毕业或同等学力，且学习成绩优秀。年龄方面，一般要求不超过25周岁，这是中国政府奖学金及多数高校的普遍标准。

这是自2026/2027学年起新增的强制性要求。所有申请攻读学士学位者，须在提交申请前参加“来华留学本科入学学业水平测试”（CSCA），并取得有效成绩单。
